Unfortunately, the start of 2017 did not start off well for one individual: president-elect DONALD TRUMP.
It was confirmed that Russian president Vladimir Putin helped president-elect Donald Trump win the election by using a tactic called HACKING.
HACKING is using a computer to gain unauthorized access to data in a system.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of HACKING?
Should companies be permitted to HACK into our private lives and determine what individual they are hiring?
Explain.
I think hacking is a really bad thing but can be used for stuff that can help u. If a person is hacking your bank account of course it's bad but for the guy it's good because he is getting all the cash. But it could be used for good stuff like to cancel a deal that was made by accident. I think the companies should hack only for a good cause. There should be a form of security that would be able to get the criminal hackers and watch over the good.

DeleteThe advantages of hacking are that if you hack a company that has a lot of power and control or help like in this case a president to get elected it is a huge advantage because you can take control of just about anything you want to. The disadvantage of hacking is that if you get caught hacking it would not be good for you. You can be sent to jail for a lot of years especially in this case where Vladimir Putin helped a person become president, if it has been fully proven, then he can get in a lot of trouble.

I a would absolutely hate it if companies would be permitted to hack into our private lives, and blah, blah, blah. If a person wants it private, it's none of anyone's business to know what they're hiding. That's what I believe anyway. I think that hacking is bad especially when it comes to the future of an entire country. But I also think its unnecessary because when our parents where younger and handing their cv's the individual who is figuring out who to hire would base that decision on actually meeting the person and getting to know them and not who they are or what they do on the internet. Hacking is unnecessary and only makes things worse. Like getting Donald Trump elected as president.

DeleteAn advantage of hacking is that it can help some people identify other people for good uses and it can also help catch criminals.A disadvantage of hacking is that some people use it for bad, for example some people use hacking to stalk someone or too find out private information about you.I 100% do not think it would be a good idea if company's were able to hack you because some people have private things that they do not want others to know and it would be wrong if you were not able to have any privacy.

DeleteI think that hacking is bad because all your private life is taken away from you. It could be good for the bad person but bad for you which is the good person. There's many disadvantage for the good person which could be with your bank account, your social medias and just with your personal life. I find that it's not a good idea hacking defiantly when it comes with the next president or with anything basically.

DeleteHacking allows government to check private information of a few people who may be wanted, and that it is a really good advantage. However, a lot of hackers nowadays use there skills to hack peoples social media or bank accounts and steal their information which is really bad. A lot of companies look into your private info which is not good at all but it's not like they are not allowed. Every company states that they are allowed to do so in there terms & condition section which is to long so no one reads it.
ReplyDeleteThere are many disadvantages to hacking such as: people can hack into your bank account, into your social medias and pretend to be you, control your internet,scam things so that they will win, control your computer and see all your personal information and a lot more. There are also many advantages such as: Polices can track down criminals and they can track information from hacking into peoples computers, you can scam things to your advantage and a lot more. I do not believe that companies should be permitted to hack. The only people who should have the consent to hack into peoples devices are the polices and the FBI. But since companies insist on giving access to hack others peoples devices through other devices to make more profit there isn't much we can do.

DeleteThe advantage of hacking is that you can easily get your way and find out things that other people might not want anyone to find out. There are also disadvantages to hacking. If you get caught doing it, you can get in big trouble. I don't agree nor disagree with companies being permitted to hack into your private life when they are looking to hire you because if you're going to represent their company, they deserve to know what kind of a person they're hiring, but I also find it kind of disrespectful to invade people's privacy, especially not without their consent.

Also hacking someone would almost be like breaking into someone's house because we have everything in our and same goes for someone's phone or computer.

If someone hack to a computer and change real information to faules information, people that visit that website will think that everything in there are real information but it is not. The bad is that you could get caught which I think is way too risky to even consider hacking. Companies should not be allowed to search you private life to see if you're worthy or not. Hacking is good for the government because they can get in to things they need to know.Of course it's bad because so many personal things can get hacked.But overall, I think that hacking should'nt be a thing, except mabye to jailbreak phones and get in app purchases

Yes I do think that companies should be permitted to hack into our private lives and determine what individual they are hiring because if I owned a company I wouldn’t want someone with a terrible reputation to be working for me since it wouldn’t be good for the company when people find out that individual is working for me.

Even though hacking might seem cool to gain classified information it is in some instances illegal and you can go to jail by doing it. I do not think companies should be allowed to hack into our private lives to determine who they are hiring because it is our own personal lives and it's our right to be able have our own personal opinions and not letting our personal lives determine whether or not you get the job.

DeleteI think the advantages of hacking are mainly to access locked information, but I think that their are many more disadvantages. For example, hackers may hack into someone's personal life to do a background check on the type of person they are, if they want to hiar them. They could potentially find several unprofessional photos of them. After seeing these photos they would most likely decide not to hiar them. Although personally I don't think that's fair. What if that person was young and stupid, Maybe they've changed? I understand that you have to be careful of your digital footprints but I dont think it's fair to completely judge someone on them, especially if it's their past.

The disadvantage of hacking is that somebody could steal your identity. You also lose a lot of privacy because people can see what you do online and find out thing about you that you didn’t want them to knew. The disadvantage is that is your the one being hacked you will be the one having to deal with those problems but also if your the hacker you can always be punished for what you've done

ReplyDeleteIt's not the first time that United States dealt with a huge hacking consequence. Hacking is not right and it is very dangerous. A United States government agency (NSA) got a huge consequence with hacking. The NSA was illegally looking at your personal lives on the internet (email, social media, and etc..) on the world population. But, the advantage was targeting upcoming terrorist.
ReplyDeleteHacking has a good side and a bad side. But it's mostly known for its bad side even though without hacking so many bigger problems would occur. It's bad sides usually refer to when people hack into ether people things like Facebook or Instagram and way more severe stuff too. But hacking helps in a lot of ways too,like when someone is hacking you or a company you can ether pay someone to stop him or do it yourself(if you know how to do it). Overall I don't think hacking is all that bad. Honestly I think it would be so cool to know how to hack.

DeleteIn my opinion there are zero disadvantages of hacking other than getting caught. Hackers are people who bypass security walls online in order to take or manipulate the data. In the case of the US presidential election, I think there should be some type of relection or something to even it out. For trump to win it would either mean that trump is actually what America think is best to run thier country, or there was some scandal. I highly doubt that it was the first reason.

A big disadvantage of hacking is getting caught doing it. If you are caught hacking something really important, there can probably be big consequences. I don't think companies should be allowed to hack into our personal lives because it's a huge violation of our privacy.
