March is a month where we celebrate women from all over the world.
In 1909, International Women's Day was first celebrated.
How do you think women's lives are different from 100 years ago?
How do you think women's lives will be in 100 years from now?
Why is it important to treat everyone as equal?
Explain.
I think that women were treated way different 100 years ago. Nobody got a job except men and women used to be housemaids, take care of their kids. In 100 years in the future I think that it will be the same because since the time where women got rights, nothing has changed ever since. Women are equal to men and now everybody is fair.
ReplyDeletethey are also equal to kids
DeleteI agree, women are equal to men
DeleteWell 100 years ago I think that still woman weren't treated as well as they get treated today. Today I think that they are treated equally to us guys. I think 100 years from now they will probably get treated better than men. I have a strong feeling that in the future, woman will probably be the ones in power.
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely correct
ReplyDeletewhat are you doing?
Deletein 100 years i think it will still be the same as it is now back then it was so much worse now usually you and your wife work unless your loaded back then only the man had to work and the wife had to clean the house. there was a big change over the years on the rights on people but i dont belleive that it will still change.
ReplyDelete100 years ago women rights where terrible, these day they have way more rights but I don't think that will change anytime soon. back in the day women protests where a little bit more piece full and not as weird and stuff today. in 100 years, i don't think much will change from now, back in the day women where not even aloud to work, they had to stay inside but now they can work and stuff. I do not think that will change.
ReplyDeleteyeah men had a lot more rights back then
DeleteIt was very unequal back them
Delete100 years ago womens were differently treated differently from mens. they didn't have the same rights and they were just not treated the same way. i think 100 years from now everyone will definetly be equal like 100%. i find that we're really equal to this day but they're might be changes that will happens years from now. it's very important to treat everyone equal because no matter if you're a women, men, kid, black or white no matter your nationality, your skin color it shouldn't be an issue in how people treat you. no matter how you look, what you are or what you think everyone should be treated equally and be respected.
ReplyDeleteTracy Xing,
ReplyDeleteI think that woman changed a lot from 100 years. If you look that the job opportunities, women can only be housewives but now they can do any jobs that man are capable of. Also, men and women are treated more equally than before. But in 2017, women are still serotyped. I think that 100 years in the future, women will be payed as much as men. I think that women will be treated more equal with men.

ReplyDelete100 years ago women didn't have many rights as men did. Many jobs were only for men and even after women were allowed to do them it took a long time before there were a sufficient amount in the career. A well known thing too, women were not allowed to vote for a LONG time. Lots of countries have only recently legalized it too, and some countries don't even allow it yet which is awful, women deserve to have an opinion on who they want to run their country. I don't think things will change much in 100 years in terms of equality, but for now everyone deserves to have the same rights and live a happy life.
ReplyDelete100 years ago women were treated a lot different from how they are treated today. They did not have the same opportunities that men had like for example men had a lot more rights then women had. Also women would make a lot less money for doing the same job that a guy would do.I find that in 2017 women and men are very equal because now a girl can do everything a guy can do.
ReplyDeleteI agree women did not have the same opportunities.
DeleteYeah exactly women didn't ave the same opportunities 100 years ago.
DeleteI don't know anything about womens rights 100 years ago, but from reading other peoples comments, I guess they were not a lot. 100 years ago, it was 1917, and international womens day was celebrated first in 1909, so im confused about why they didn't have many rights. personally, I don't care about how womens life will be in 100 years. first of all, it depends on how your living, regardless of gender, if youre poor af, youre not gonna have a great life. But im guessing that their rights will be better than they are now. I don't think its important to treat everyone equally, cuz that's impossible. I think its important to try your best to treat everyone equally.

its true, its important to try to treat everyone equally
DeleteOne hundred years ago women could not do anything that they wanted to do they couldn't vote, speak out of line, have a steady profession and we were pushed aside and had to let the men do everything. Thankfully today women can vote, have a voice and be what they want yet there is still discrimination going on and it won't get better now that Donald Trump is president and him and his alternative facts will make it worse. In 100 years it will either be like 200 years before or it will be really good for women.
ReplyDeleteTrue men did everything.
DeleteSorry but I don't understand how trump will make us go back 200 years in our judicial system. I mean ya trump may have done some things and said some things that you disagree with but I can tell you he can't do anything to women's rights as everybody will be looking out for so I wouldn't worry. Also trump might actually might be good for the American economy and bring the American industriel power back which means an. Over all richer American citizen which could mean more money in women's rights foundation which I tell the Chinese or the Arabs won't give to.So ya trump may indirectly benefit women's rights.
DeleteI believe that women's rights have gotten better and have developed more and more over the decades. Women were not treated as equal as men were 100 years ago. I believe in equality whether it would be women's rights LGBT rights or simply our rights as human beings. I believe that everyone should be treated equal no matter what gender, skin color, religion, sexuality etc.
ReplyDeleteWomen's life's are so different now than 100 years ago. Every year there are changes made to make the lives of women better. 100 years ago women didn't even have a job. Now some of them are CEO's. Society has come so far in the past year. In 100 years from now I think not much will change because a lot has already been done for women and I don't see a lot changing.
ReplyDeleteI agree a lot has already been done for women

ReplyDeleteOver the past 100 years women's rights have seen some some upgrades. The right to vote and few others have come their way. To question what comes next I think we have to look at what caused the change of view in society in the first place. In my opinion I don't think it was because some women just decided to change a system after 10 000 years of that system being in place since the cave man times. Instead I think that the change came from technological advances in the work place. I think the reason women and men have had different rights in the first place comes from the fact that men and women have had different jobs ever since the dawn of time. Men have always worked on the farm making food for the family and fixing and building stuff while women cleaned and took care of the kids. I you think that one person had a worse job that another that is your opinion I think that they are both terrible jobs and the work load was spread out evenly. With the work load spread this system was stable up until the industrial revolution were men's jobs were the first to take up the new technology which gave them power. This stayed like this until the beginning of the 20th century when the difference in power was unsustainable and we had a little turbulence in society which caused men and women to divide the workload up a different way in order to try and resolve the problem. So from looking at this information I that in the next 100 years men will loose rights and women will gain rights do to the fact that more women graduate from university than men giving the more access to newer technology and giving them the power and just like all humans women will abuse the power just like men did. I think the difference in power between men and women will bounce back and forth like a newtons cradle and eventually hopefully everything will balance out and we will find a system that works with our new society. If you think that women were abused all through out history I think that you are blind and aren't seeing the full picture there was just a slight period of turbulence when we literally went from using horses as a main method of transportation to building rocket ships so ya the turbulence was bound to happen. Honestly I think that the only groups that have actually suffered are black people and gays. Black people because the euro peens had guns and the Africans din't and humans did what human do and turned other humans into a resource. As for gays I don't no maybe their was a misunderstanding at a bar and one guy garbed another guys penis which spiked some problems. So ya that was my opinion.
ReplyDeletePersonally I don't agree with you at all. I mean except for the fact that women have a higher percentage of graduatuates then men do, because that's a fact, about the only correct fact you stated. I strongly recommend you google what women went through about 100 years ago. Women most definatly did not enjoy the same rights and privileges that men did in this time frame, and The rights are still not 100% equal to this day. As for groups or individuals that have been persecuted over time, what about Jewish people? Have you forgotten about the hollicost? Or what about the native Americans? I think before you state extremely bold comments like that you should substantiate them. Although, again that's only my opinion.
DeleteI meant most of my ideas more as reasoning than facts but I appriciate your criticism thanks for you comment.
DeleteYour comment not you comment

ReplyDeleteWomen have a lot more rights now than they did 100 years ago. For example many women did not work 100 years ago but now almost every female adult works and not just stays home and takes care of the kids. Also the salary of women are higher now and are equal to mens salary which was not the case 100 years ago.
ReplyDeleteWomen's lives are very different from 100 years ago. They were seen lesser than males. Women didn't work and if they did work it was working as a teacher or maid not an powerful position like males. I think women's lives would be better in 100 years because be that time there would be . equality. It's very important to treat everybody equal because everybody matters and nobody is less than somebody else.
ReplyDeleteagreed, we should all be treated equally.
Delete100 years ago women were treated less then what they really were. They didn’t have the same rights as men. They couldn’t go out into the real world and liven the life they wanted to. They stayed at home, cooking , cleaning, taking care of the garden and their children and so much more boring lame ass sh*t. Back then women’s education sucked. There was no “first women to…” because they never gave women the opportunity to live their lives free like men. Now a days people recognize what we are really capable of doing. We can do just as much as men. Sure there are still people who think women are less then men but there is a large proportion that believe women are just the same as men. Men have jobs, so do we. Men have education, so do we. Men are successful, so are we. 100 years from now who knows that will happen. Chances are robots will take over human responsibilities and human kind will become fat, lazy and dumb but all humans will become like that so it’s equal. Equality is defiantly important because undermining women and not giving them the push and opportunity they need is cruel. When they can do so much more with their lives. And if you allow men to but not women thats messed up because we are all human we are all made of blood and bones and we all have goals in life.
ReplyDelete100 years ago women were treated much different then how they are today, they would stay home, couldn't vote and had no rights. As time evolved women's rights changed and there should be equality. Although we live in a world we're we should be equal, some contries have not changed and still treat women as if they are inferior. Hopefully 100 years from now those countries treat women the way they should be treated, just like any other person and with time may we find real equality between both genders.
ReplyDelete100 years ago women were treated very differently from today. Back then women weren't aloud to work, vote and many other things. Now women's rights are much better, they can do as much things as men can do. In 100 years from now I don't think much will change merely because a lot has already changed and women have enough rights and better lives.
ReplyDeleteIn the last several centuries women and their supporters have fought long and hard to gain some rights. The successes have not come easily, and the fight for our rights continue to this day. One hundred years ago, women were not treated equally. They didn't have a voice, or a choice. They simply stayed at home and cleaned or cooked. Out of all the women only a very small fraction of them had jobs outside the home. Which in most cases was being a teacher and even then there salary was slim. In today's day in age women have a lot more rights such as the right to vote, to have a voice and to work. Although these rights can still be improved upon.
ReplyDeletei completely agree with your statements and i also believe there is room to improve
DeleteIn the last 100 years, women's rights have been improved. 100 years ago, we didn't have the right to vote, to open a bank account, practice law, take birth control pills, go to an ivy league university, be in the military. We couldn't get equal pay for equal work or even have our own credit cards. Today we continue to fight and march because there is still room for improvement and women are still considered and thought of as a "second gender". But i will say that we have seen an improvement in women's rights. In 100 years i'm not sure what will happen, people might smarten up or they might not and women could end up fighting for equality for another 300 years.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you
DeleteI say women's rights are a lot different 100 years ago compared to now. For example women couldn't vote, drive and in some instances learn how to read! But now it has really improved and women have the same rights men have. ( yay) but in certain countries that improvement hasn't happened yet and it's really sad. :(
ReplyDeleteYea, we should really focus on countries like Saudi Arabia when it comes down to sexism.
DeleteI think that lives are different from 100 years ago because women didn’t have rights, equal pay, they weren’t able to work they had to take care of just the household and produce kids. I think that they will be equal everywhere since some countries don’t treat women equally nowadays. Its important to treat everyone as equal since on the inside were all the same and no matter the gender, religion, race, age… etc. everyone is the same on the inside.

ReplyDelete100 years ago women's rights were on the rise, it is something we should be ashamed about... that being that their rights were complete and utter crapped upon, but we need to somewhat move on. Men and women's rights in countries such as canada are equal and hell when there are inequalities its for both genders and when it comes down to the future... who knows what'll happen, honestly I think the whole topic of gender will just be stupid and the only thing we'll need to worry about is who shoves it into where.
ReplyDeleteOver the years women's rights have changed a lot.100 years ago woman were treated really badly.Men would treat them like objects,it was very cruel. But eventually the woman of our world fought back and finally got equality. In the present day I think everything between men and women is equal. Some people still think women are being treated unequally but if you look at the facts nowadays everybody is on the same level.100 yeas from now it shouldn't be much different,if all goes good.
ReplyDeletetrue everybody is on the same level
DeleteAbout a 100 years ago women's were not even aloud to work in a office or a vote for elections. But, now you see women's entrepreneurs, women voting, etc… Men were even aloud to beat their wives and not even getting a slap on the wrist by the cops. But today you hurt a women, jail time. Society made sure that women and men are equal.
ReplyDeleteHundreds of years ago women were treated differently for example they would be paid a lower salary then men for the same job. However, woman are treated equally for the most part in today's society but their are still some people who abuse woman which is not right. Women should be treated as equal as men, just because someone has a different gender you can't take their rights from them.
